Mary Klatt
Mary received a Master's
degree in English Language and Literature with an emphasis on Teaching
English as a Second Language from the University of Michigan and a
Master's in Health Care Administration from Simmons College in Boston.
She holds certificates in Teaching Business English (CTBE) and Teaching
English as a Foreign Language (CTEFL) from Worldwide Teachers
Development Institute in Boston. She has experience with language
learners at beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels from a variety
of countries and has taught phonetics at the university
level.
Mary specializes in teaching English to professionals and
has worked in the areas of medicine, administration, and scientific
research. She is interested in cross-cultural communication and has
traveled to all the countries in Western Europe as well as Scandinavia,
South America, China, Eastern Europe and Canada. She has visited all regions of the United
States and enjoys hosting foreign visitors involved in education,
business, law, government and medicine.
Sue Cnudde
Sue received a Bachelor's degree in English from
the University of Michigan, a Master's degree in English from the
University of North Carolina, and a Master's degree in Library and
Information Studies from Florida State University. She has taught English for many years, specializing in English as a Second Language.
Sue has worked with professionals in the academic, legal,
arts, business, and medical fields to improve and refine their English
language skills, and has assisted them with writing and editing reports
and documents. In addition, Sue has worked with beginners to develop basic communication skills and vocabulary.
Sue has traveled extensively
to many parts of the world, including Italy, France, Spain and Greece, as well as other parts of
western Europe, Croatia, Macedonia, Yugoslavia, Japan, and Mexico. She
brings a love for teaching and meeting people of other cultures to her
tutoring. Sue has also worked as a librarian, editor, researcher, fiber
arts designer, and manager of an information retrieval
business.
Both Mary and Sue have several years' experience as
Boston tour
guides.
